Bharatanatya Arangetram of Ms. Vanya Verma
Page 1 Page 2
I had the pleasure to watch Miss Vanya Verma, a 13-year-old girl from India living in Ipoh (Malaysia), at her Bharatanatya Arangetram. Bharatanatya Arangetram is loosely translated as the ascension to the stage in the Bharatanatya dance form.
Since this was a graduation dance (Arangetram), it means Vanya has already mastered all elements of the dance form, Bharatanatyam, one of eight classical dance forms of India. In such a full repertoire solo debut performance with live music ensemble, Vanya’s performance was dedicated to Lord Shiva (the Lord of Dance), her Guru and the audience.

Hi Emily,
Great site with lots of informative articles.
Love it.
By the way, keep sharing the love. 🙂
Thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed reading my blog!
Hi Emily, thank you for posting the photos and video of the function. I was planning to attend but could not make it. Thanks again and keep posting!!!
Ah, it’s unfortunate that you weren’t able to share the occasion of Vanya’s Arangetram with us!
Hi, is there anyway for me to get Vanya’s contact number/email id? I would like to enquire if she would like to do public performance. Thanks.
Pass me your phone number through here http://www.emily2u.com/contact/ and I will get you in touch with her parents.
Hi,
I have given my number, and so far have not received any calls yet..Any idea?
Thanks
I’ve already passed your number to Vanya’s dad. Either he’s out of the country, or not interested in a public performance.
Can I know who was her Guru?
