Malaysian Peranakan novelist, Dr Chuah Guat Eng, is back for this month’s Sharpened Word, with the theme: Feeling Malaysian, Writing For the World: Finding Your Authentic Voice As A Writer.
Dr Chuah’s first novel, Echoes of Silence, was cited as the first English novel written by a Malaysian author and she self-edited, proof-read and self-published the book, a feat she repeated in all her subsequent publications.
The septuagenarian was first featured at Sharpened Word in 2016. Being no stranger to Ipoh’s writing and literary scene, Dr Chuah still has plenty of knowledge to share with fellow literature enthusiasts.
Therefore, if you love books, reading and writing, this is a great opportunity to pick the brains of an accomplished writer.
