Announcement: De Garden CNY Longest Hugging Competition 2013

What are your plans this Valentine’s Day (Feb 14th)? How about trying to bring home RM888? Yes, cold hard cash is up for grabs in the De Garden Chinese New Year Longest Hugging Competition. This should be the first of its kind in Ipoh.

Although this competition is held on Valentine’s Day, couples between the ages of 16 and 80 can participate. The meaning of couples in this context doesn’t necessarily mean boyfriend & girlfriend or husband & wife only. Even friends and families can join in the fun!

How to participate? Just spend RM50 in a single receipt at any tenant in De Garden Mall, and submit your original receipt with the registration form, from Jan 15th to Feb 7th before 5.30pm.

Eligible couples will be contacted by De Garden to confirm their spots. Only fifty couples will get to participate in the competition, on first-come, first-served basis.

Forms can be obtained from all De Garden tenants, De Garden Office or downloaded from De Garden Facebook Page HERE.

Couples who have duly reserved their spot in the competition are to present themselves at De Garden on competition day (Feb 14th) from 10.30am to 11.30am.

Contest starts at 12noon. Late comers will be automatically disqualified.

Contestants are to hug their partners within an area of 2’X2′ only. They are not entitled to any rest time or toilet breaks. Those who leave the boundary will be disqualified, unless with express permission from the event organiser.

The couple who hugs the longest will be declared the winner and bags the RM888 cash prize!
