Romance Is In The Air at Kinta Riverfront Hotel, Ipoh

Even if your better half says that it’s fine not celebrating Valentine’s Day, it is a safer bet to make it memorable than do nothing at all. The best ‘gift’ for Valentine’s Day is a meal.

One has to eat, after all. It doesn’t need to be overly expensive as it is the thought that counts. That’s the reason Kinta Riverfront Hotel’s four F&B outlets have designed Valentine’s Day menus to fit different budgets and taste buds.

Palong Coffee House
Served on Valentine’s Day (14th Feb), the four-course meal is significant with its premium dishes. Start the meal with an appetiser of Smoked Salmon with Mango, followed by soup: choice of New Zealand Seafood Chowder or Lobster Bisque.

As for the main course, there are three options, as shown in these photos. Dessert is either Tiramisu with Oreogasm Bark or Red Velvet Swirl Fudge with Cake.

Price is RM220 per couple. However, take the opportunity of Early Bird promotion at RM180 per couple only, and available for reservation until 10th Feb. Complimentary for this package are flower, gift and fresh juices.

Zui Xin Lao Seafood Restaurant
If dining on Chinese cuisine is more your preference, then you can opt for the pork-free Zui Xin Lao. The luxurious 7-course Valentine’s Set is available from 10th to 14th Feb.

Included on the menu are Braised Shark Fin Soup, Lamb Rack, Dory Fish, Hakka-style Fried Vegetables and Prawns. Price is RM168 per couple.

Shinjuku Japanese Cuisine
A romantic 4-course Valentine’s set dinner awaits couples, available for the first two weeks of February, until 14th Feb. Dinner begins with appetiser of Sashimi Moriawase (ootoro, hamachi, shimaaji, maguro & oyster).

Main course will be Red Snapper Saikyo Miso or Kagoshima A5 Wagyu or Sushi Moriawase. Then there is Namemono of Asari Kaminabe (Japanese clam paper pot with fish head broth). Dessert will be Yuzu Sorbet & Mochi Daifuku. Two glasses of red wine are complimentary.

Price is RM560 nett per couple.

Moon River Bar & Grill
This popular bar and grill is going Japanese this Valentine’s Day. Also available from 1st to 14th Feb, the price is RM240 per couple.

Menu is as follows:
Appetiser: Tatamo Iwashi, Kakkiage Salad with Caviar, Unagi & Takuwan
Main Course: Pan Seared Scallop or Pan Seared Salmon Trout or Spaghetti Capellini
Dessert: Matcha Ice Cream or Sesame Ice Cream or Yuzu Ice Cream

Although I do not have photos of Valentine’s menus from Shinjuku Japanese Cuisine and Moon River Bar & Grill, I can imagine how appetising the meal would be just by looking at the food that will be served.

Whether you are partial to Chinese, Western or Japanese, they are all available at Kinta Riverfront Hotel’s four F&B outlets this Valentine’s season. Just take your pick!
