Announcement: Audition for Miss Perak Tourism 2015

Attention all young ladies in Perak! Here is your chance to participate in a pageant and be crowned Miss Perak Tourism 2015. The winner and first runner-up will represent Perak in the Miss Malaysia Tourism Final in Selangor on June 5, 2015.

Miss Perak Tourism is not merely about beauty as the pageant has always been about the promotion of tourism, culture and friendship. Therefore, this is one of the few “beauty” pageants that doesn’t feature a swimwear round.

The pageant is organised by My Stage Production Sdn. Bhd. and supported by Perak Tourism Management Bhd. The main organiser and title owner is D’Touch International Sdn. Bhd. This is the first time a selection is conducted in Perak for this pageant.

All single ladies born in Perak, from 17 up to 25 years old, with a minimum height of 165cm, are encouraged to participate in the audition. It is on April 12, 2015 beginning at 11am at Syeun Hotel Ipoh.

A total of 20 entrants will be selected to proceed to the preliminary rounds. There will be five (5) rounds to go through, all of which will be filmed and uploaded on YouTube. This is a first in Perak, where we get to watch on video, how the contestants are transformed from girls-next-door to confident young ladies.

Each reality-style “episode” published on YouTube will witness the elimination, through public votes, of one (1) contestant.

By the end of the fifth episode, the remaining 15 competitors will proceed to the state final.

Meanwhile, photography enthusiasts will get to participate in an exciting competition in a specially organised photo competition. These photo entries will feature some of the best tourist landmarks in the state when the finalists are taken on a tour of Perak, as part of a line-up of activities for them, which includes a city tour in vintage cars.

The final, to be held on May 16, 2015 at Syeun Hotel Ipoh, will see the ladies parade in three costumes: 1) Batik wear, 2) Designer apparel and 3) Evening gown. They will also have to undergo a talent round.

16th May, 2015 – Miss Perak Tourism Grand Final (a Grand Gala Charity Dinner + Show) – state level

5th June, 2015 – Miss Malaysia Tourism Final in Grand Dorsett Subang Hotel – national level

November 2015 – Miss Tourism International 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – world level
