A Lunar Niu Year Photo Opportunity at Ipoh Parade
Mall keeps CNY cultural traditions alive despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ipoh Parade Shopping Mall is decked with splashes of shades of red floral decorations to capture the festive mood of this Spring Festival, creating a photo opportunity for selfie lovers.
A photograph taken at the red tunnel is a must-have as it is adorned with rows of plum blossoms and red lanterns that surely enlivens with a sense of festive joy.
Step inside the mall’s main concourse to immerse yourself in the ambience of Chinese cultural traditions in celebrating the Spring Festival to escape the COVID-19 tough times.
“We turn our mall into a showpiece to lift up the festive mood of our shoppers though we know many have been badly affected by the pandemic. To motivate the Chinese community to usher in a cheerful and brighter Chinese New Year of the Metal Ox, we rise to the occasion with our contribution,” said the mall’s Advertising and Promotions Assistant Manager Lim Huey Tyng.
Themed ‘Happy Niu Year, in the Mood for Prosperity’, visitors to the mall are greeted by the spectacle of luminous red lanterns and floral decors and the piped-in music of popular CNY ‘Gong Xi Fa Cai’ songs.
Ipoh Parade’s Chinese New Year Celebration is an event highly anticipated by the local community each year and the mall is keeping this annual tradition alive despite the circumstances.
“We know that the past year has been a challenging one for many of us, but we want to encourage everyone to continue to be positive-minded and rise up stronger as we charge into the Year of the Ox,” said Lim.
In celebration of the festive season, Ipoh Parade is rewarding shoppers with its exclusive Moo Moo Angpow Packets. Shoppers who spend a minimum amount of RM68 in a maximum of two receipts from now until 11th February are entitled to redeem the angpow packets. Redemption can be made at the mall’s information counter and is on a first come, first served basis. T&C apply.
Good to know that they are still putting up decorations. At least not everything is gloomy.
