If you are still cracking your head on where to eat, where to break fast or buka puasa in Ipoh, how about I point you to another place?
It’s at this new place called MÜnch at MÜ Hotel. Well, it’s not really new if you think about it. It was formerly known as ibis Styles Hotel Ipoh. Ah ha! Now I see understanding dawn on you.
Anyway, if you miss your kampung and don’t have leave off work to make that trip back to your hometown yet, it is a good idea to get a preliminary taste at MÜ Hotel’s MÜnch. Why do I say do? It’s because the hotel is serving Selera Kampung menus during this month of Ramadan, and not just one menu but FIVE, rotated on a daily basis!
Therefore, for dishes that remind one of home, some of the items to expect are Ulam-ulaman, Kerabu Pucuk Paku, Tempoyak and Cincaluk as starters, followed by main courses of Bubur Lambuk, Ayam Rendang, Pajeri Terung, Chicken Kurma with Potato, as well as Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, just to name a handful of dishes.
Of course, there is a good selection of desserts as you can see from photos enclosed. All to wash down with local favourites of Soya Bean, Bandung, Sirap Selasih, and more. Maybe you prefer to accompany your meal with the Soup of the Day? It could be Sup Ayam Berempah, Sup Ikan Thai style or others.
If you are thinking, “Hey, that’s not enough!” Well, there’s whole lamb served every Saturday and Sunday but do bear in mind that weekend price is RM39 nett (adult), while weekday is RM36 nett only. Senior citizens and children below 12 years of age enjoy 50% off these prices! What a steal!
By the way, have you dined at MÜnch before? It has this refreshing ol’ skool feel to it. Go for the food, or the ambience – just go! You won’t regret it.
Take note that Selera Kampung Ramadhan Buffet Dinner at MÜnch is only available until 23rd June, 2017 (7pm – 11pm). Don’t miss it.
