Free Bubur Lambuk From Impiana Hotel Ipoh
To help Ipohites break fast, Impiana Hotel Ipoh distributed a thousand bowls of their popular “bubur lambuk” to the public a couple of days ago, in front of the hotel along Jalan Dr. Raja Nazrin Shah, Ipoh.
“Bubur lambuk” is a time-honoured Ramadhan dish, whereby the meat porridge is taken to ease the digestive system after a long day of fasting.
The event may have caught the public by surprise, but motorists stopped for their free bowl of porridge, and caused a minor traffic jam along the main road, from the roundabout outside of the Menteri Besar’s official residence.
Staff from the hotel, led by General Manager Kamarudin Kassim, came out to help with the distribution, despite the blazing sun. It was something different for the regular commuters who take this road, after a long and tiring work day.
This generous gesture by Ipoh’s leading business-class hotel was a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative. The porridge was snapped up in less than thirty minutes.
Check out my photos. It was indeed a hot day!

A very noble CSR effort by IHI. The public was delighted by the hotel’s gesture.
