2018 Chinese New Year Celebration at Syeun Hotel Ipoh

With two pairs of ferocious lions and a fiery dragon dancing to the rhythm of clashing cymbals and banging drums, Syeun Hotel Ipoh ushered in the Year of the Earth Dog on the third day of the Lunar New Year.

Joining in the annual celebration were the proprietors, business partners, associates, management, staff, guests and well-wishers.

As in the past few years, yours truly also partook in the joyous event and witnessed the lion and dragon dance performances by international champion troupe from Ipoh Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association.

It is a tradition for Syeun Hotel Ipoh, a premier hotel in the city, to usher in the Lunar New Year in such grand fashion on the third day of Chinese New Year, at 1pm. Mark this in your calendar if you would like to witness the festivity live.

The lions visited every business area of the hotel, including its Grand Ballroom, Garden View Coffee House, Sales Office, reception counter and lobby.

The animals also chased away whatever negative qi (energy) that lurked around. This is to ensure that the hotel enjoys flourishing business throughout the year.

The hour-long celebration wrapped up with long pink firecrackers being set off. Pīlipālapīlipāla….
