Opening of Paradigm Mall, Kelana Jaya, Petaling Jaya

I followed Paradigm Mall’s Facebook Page for 3/4 of the year, waiting for the mall to open for business, and when it actually did, I was away on vacation! What poor timing!

Anyway, finally, today I have photos of the new shopping mall to share with you. It’s the first shopping mall in the Kelana Jaya (Petaling Jaya) area and it will be my new hunting ground whenever I am in Petaling Jaya or Kuala Lumpur. Lazy to go to MidValley already! No need to cross the LDP (Damansara–Puchong Expressway or Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong) to Giant for groceries because Tesco is just at my doorstep!

Naturally, I am unable to share photos of the entire mall. At this point in time, about 90% of the tenants are opened. Tesco hypermarket, Golden Screens Cinema and CYC Mega Leisure World (arcade), just to name a few larger tenants, will only be ready sometime in June.

As it is, I see many F&B outlets at Paradigm Mall. I wouldn’t have to patronise the same eateries even if I spend a month dining at this mall! Ermm…. perhaps even two months! Since the mall just opened on 24th May, 2012, many tenants are still running opening promotions, until the end of June or beyond. The grand launch will be in September or October this year.

Many people are complaining about horrendous traffic jam in this area, especially during peak hours and weekends. Well, can’t blame shoppers when there’s a new block in the neighbourhood and when parking (there are 4300 bays) is free until 1st July, 2012.

I figure things will be a lot better once everything is in order, especially when the two blocks at the back of Paradigm Mall are completed. As for now, check out the photos that I have, and the (partial) list of tenants at Paradigm Mall.
