2012 Sultan Azlan Shah Cup – Match 7 – New Zealand vs. Pakistan
For the second year, albeit with a slight delay, I am bringing you coverage on the hockey action at Stadium Azlan Shah during this 2012 21st Sultan Azlan Shah Cup. If you are a fan of hockey, you would know this as a premier invitational men’s field hockey tournament.
This year, it features six top men’s hockey nations; these teams are here as final preparation for the London Olympics in July. The six foreign teams participating this year are India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Great Britain, Argentina and South Korea. Malaysia, as host, also plays.
One year on, I still do not understand the rules of field hockey. I still do not play the sport or do I have a favourite team. But I do enjoy watching a good game, even if there are too many penalty corners awarded these days.
And one year on, I am still saving to invest in a camera more suited for the challenging conditions of night sports, so I hope you will bear with the quality of my photos!
