An extensive array of traditional juadah berbuka puasa awaits diners, if they opted to break fast at Casuarina@Meru Hotel during this holy month of Ramadan.
Whether to celebrate togetherness with family or friends, the breaking of fast is a much anticipated annual event at this hotel, well known for its delicious cuisines.
Last evening, the hotel hosted a breaking of fast gathering with about 128 kids from three children’s homes, namely: Rumah Anak-Anak Yatim Yayasan Amanah An-Nur Maisarah Chemor, Maahad Tahfiz Bayt Al-ikhlas Lumut, and Madrasah Ashabus Suffah Ummi Hasanah (ASUH) Ipoh.
The treat was part of the hotel’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative during this season of giving and forgiving. Joining in the merry occasion was one member of Casuarina Meru Sdn Bhd Board of Directors, Puan Norhaslinda Zakaria.
Yours truly was invited to the happy event, thus able to share with you part of the Warna-Warni Bufet Ramadan menu, so that you have a fairly good idea of what to expect should you break fast at Hotel Casuarina@Meru during this Ramadan.
As you can see, from starters to main courses, desserts to fruits and beverages; various local delicacies from the action stalls, there’s much to fill the tummy with.
Apart from the long line of action stalls, the main highlight is probably the grill counter that offers a number of BBQ items, specifically the succulent grilled lamb, with accompanying sauces.
Oh yes, don’t forget to complement your dinner with goreng-goreng items, particularly popular cucur udang by Chef Ros, as well as the long list of desserts and free-flow of ice cream!

For general information, during this whole month of Ramadan, the hotel with the co-operation of Persatuan Pedagang dan Pengusaha Melayu Malaysia (PERDASAMA), is hosting a mini bazaar, with 18 vendors, offering selections of Hari Raya essentials, from apparel to perfume, health products and most importantly, kuih Raya. All items are sold at attractive prices.
