Video Conference of Executive Committee Members of MALA

The meeting of Executive Committee Members of MALA (Malaysian Association of Local Authorities) was conducted via video conferencing yesterday afternoon. Chaired by the Mayor of Penang City Council who is also the President of MALA, YBhg Dato’ Ar. Yew Tung Seang, the Ipoh City Council (Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh) was represented by Tuan Haji Musa Bin Dun, Senior Director (Services & Operations).

All committee members participated in the meeting, including newly-minted Mayor of Subang Jaya Puan Noraini Binti Roslan. MALA currently has a membership count of over 100, from all Local Authorities throughout the country.

Discussion during the video conference was on the progress of MALA activities and the preparation of the association’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), slated to be hosted at UTC Perak, the Urban Transformation Centre in Ipoh, on 28th November, 2020.

MALA hopes that such video conferencing arrangements will continue to be practised to ensure feasible management of the association and its activities even during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
