Time To Burn Those CNY Calories Off For A Worthy Cause

A Mallkathon Charity Virtual Walk is to be hosted at Ipoh Parade shopping mall next Sunday, 24th February, in the spirit of helping shoppers keep fit and at the same time, giving back to the community.

Jointly organised by mall owners ARA Asset Management Limited (ARA), the Lions Club of Sunway Damansara Metro, the Leo Clubs of Ipoh Unity, Ipoh Central Omega and numerous secondary schools in Ipoh, the primary objective of this Mallkathon is to raise funds through ticket sales for Comfort Care Centre, a home to mentally challenged adults as well as rehabilitating substance abusers.

Mallkathon is a casual walk or jog that can be completed by shoppers at their own pace on the said date from 12 noon until 6pm. The total distance within the mall that has to be tracked using a running app is 3km.

Once your app registers the distance, show it to the crew at the registration counter located at Ipoh Parade Main Court to collect your finisher medal!

Mallkathon will also be hosted at ARA’s three other malls, namely CITTA Mall, Klang Parade and 1 Mont Kiara, at different dates in the coming two months.

“Making use of the vast space of the shopping complexes, ARA encourages shoppers to make their strolling in the mall worthwhile,” said June Lim, ARA Country Head, Malaysia.

Entry for Mallkathon is RM15 for Leo/Lion Club members, while shoppers pay RM15 with minimum spending of RM30 within Ipoh Parade. Otherwise, entry fee is RM20 per person.
