Ipoh Parade To Host Perak’s Inaugural Cultural Fair
What an exciting time to be at Ipoh Parade during the inaugural cultural fair which will be hosted at the shopping complex from 10th to 12th of this month, in conjunction with Malaysia Day which falls on 16th September.
This 3-day event will see a wide range of cultural activities being held concurrently, including the mall’s annual Lantern Making Competition & Exhibition where hundreds of colourful lanterns will be created and exhibited, to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival.
Other exhibitions that feature our country’s multi-cultural heritage will be displayed. Additionally, shoppers and visitors can look forward to a wide array of cultural performances such as silat, Cantonese opera, wushu, as well as lion and dragon dance, just to name a few stage attractions.
Besides the lantern making competition, other contests that are organised during this Fair are Chinese Chess and sub-lantern making. Anyone who is interested in learning about the various cultures of Malaysia may do so in a crash course over these three days.
This cultural event is jointly organised by Ipoh Parade, Ipoh Chin Woo Association and a long list of local non-governmental organisations. I intend to attend some of these activies that have been lined up. What about you?
