The Haven Grand Launch Carnival

The Haven Lakeside Residences will be holding a grand launch carnival this Sunday, 30th January, 2011, at its Show Gallery in Tambun. I haven’t decided if I would be going because I have a packed weekend schedule. If you have the time, you should go and have a look at the rock that’s named Rockhaven.

According to Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) Shell Chair in Petroleum Geosciences Prof Dr Bernard Pierson, who dated the rock, this 280-million-year-old 14-storey high rock is a geological wonder. There are only four such formations in the world. The other three are in Guilin (China), Halong Bay (Vietnam) and Phuket (Thailand). This one in Tambun has been named Rockhaven in a recent “Name the Rock Contest“. The winner walked away with a cool cash prize of MYR25,000!

Despite its size, the unit I viewed seems comfortable enough, though the smallest bedroom reminded me of the rooms of Tunes Hotels.

What I really like is its “holiday-feel” concept where one could soak in the long bath looking out to the lake. Yes, it is possible thanks to the sliding glass panel in the bathroom. I have been told that conservative owners could request for slight renovation to the layout of the bathroom, if they do not want this feature. Well, if you are keeping this, make sure there aren’t anyone looking IN!

Anyway, this grand launch carnival is like an “open house” or “family day”. Whatever you want to call it, it sounds like a day of fun. I believe light refreshment will be served. Well, I don’t know. Why don’t you go and find out? Sorry, Amber Chia will not be there.
