With the 280 million-year-old untouched rock from the dinosaur era named Rockhaven as backdrop, the welcoming cocktail followed by dinner for The Haven’s new General Manager was a cosy affair under the starry dark sky.
Invited to the party which was specially organised to introduce The Haven’s new General Manager Mr. Jimmy Yeo, were business associates, unit owners, tourism industry players, event organisers as well as travel agents. Agents from Singapore had their flight tickets generously sponsored by Firefly. It was a move in trying to promote Ipoh generally and The Haven specifically to Singaporeans.
The Haven, known as Little Guilin, has thus far won more than thirty domestic and international awards. With such a natural setting, it is really not difficult to understand why.
The Haven’s 150 Luxury Hotel Suites, which Mr. Jimmy is in charge of, was launched by the Malaysian Minister of Tourism and Culture YB Dato’ Seri Mohamed Nazri bin Abdul Aziz on August 14, 2015. To date, the 5-star property has already served guests from more than fifty countries around the world.
Large corporate companies have also chosen The Haven to host their events. In fact, Haven Lakeview Garden, the venue for this welcoming party is perfectly ideal for garden weddings, accommodating up to 500 guests at a time.
Less than a year since its launch, The Haven is fast becoming a family-oriented vacation destination. This is because of the suitability of the two or three-bedroom suites to accommodate three generations of a family.
Mr. Jimmy announced that plans to further enhance the property are in the pipeline. If everything goes smoothly, residents and guests will get to enjoy the spa and family karaoke room.
Making a special appearance was a pair of African gorillas, to the delight of guests. The gorillas spread their blessings by distributing fruits, including bananas.
