Terengganu River Cruise
While in Putrajaya, I was on the night cruise. In Terengganu, I went on a river cruise, which took me from Shahbandar Jetty to Taman Tamadun Islam (TTI), an edutainment park, on Pulau Wan Man. This Islam Civilisation Park has many special attractions that all holidaymakers to Kuala Terengganu should make a point to visit, irrespective of religion.
The journey took about 30 minutes, and along the way, there were many sights to behold, checking out Kuala Terengganu with a new eye. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, explaining to us in detail whatever we were curious about.
I was surprised to learn that boats in Terengganu all spot green cabins. Boats from other states in Malaysia have their respective colours. And I thought that boat owners could paint their boats whatever colour they wished!
In Taman Tamadun Islam, one could either take a boat back, or by bus. That’s a good option, especially if the weather no longer permits boat rides. To me, the boat fare is a little steep but it is a new experience and one should try it at least once. There is no boat service on Tuesdays.
