Taman Tamadun Islam (TTI)
Taman Tamadun Islam (TTI) in Pulau Wan Man, Kuala Terengganu, is a must-visit attraction whilst in Terengganu. Besides the fact that the Islam Civilisation Park is easily accessible by boat or road, it is home to many monuments that would offer a unique experience to visitors.
Currently, TTI is best known for its Crystal Mosque but certainly, the park is more than just one unique mosque. It has some 23 great replica Islamic monuments from around the world that reminisce the rise of Islam into a sophisticated global religion.
In addition to the Crystal Mosque, you can find replicas of the National Mosque in Kuala Lumpur, the Kudus Minar (Central Java, Indonesia), Pattani Central Mosque (Thailand), Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque (Brunei), and the Taj Mahal (India), just to name a handful.
Unfortunately, our visit to TTI was cut short due to a sudden, heavy downpour but I must give credit to our tour guide who continued with her commentary amidst slashing rain.
Anyway, another uniqueness of Taman Tamadun Islam is the issuance of passport for each first-time visitor. Obtain your TTI passport now, that comes with your first visit (RM15 entry fee) and start getting additional benefits with each subsequent visit.
