Taiping Perdana Hotel
Fully owned by the Malay Teachers’ Cooperative of Larut, Matang, Selama and Dinding Taiping (Koperasi Guru-Guru Melayu Larut, Matang, Selama Dan Dinding Taiping Berhad), Hotel Taiping Perdana was officially launched in July, 2012 by Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Built at a cost of RM24 million, Hotel Taiping Perdana is located in the heart of Taiping town. It offers 138 tastefully appointed and innovative-designed guest rooms, from the basic Superior Room to the posh Perdana Suite.
The room photos I have shared in this post are of the Superior Room, with two single beds, a writing desk, wardrobe and in-house movie channel.
It also comes with complimentary coffee and tea-making facilities. For hair dryer, you have to call the housekeeper. This room doesn’t come with a safe deposit box, which to me, is a compulsory feature.
The washroom is basic, without a long bath. As there is no partition between the commode and shower, the bathroom can be quite a mess after use.
Having said so, a stay here is pleasant enough, especially if you are a low-demand tourist who just needs a hot shower and comfortable bed after a long day exploring Taiping, the heritage town.
Superior Room – Promotional Rate: RM120 / Normal Rate: RM240
Junior Deluxe – RM170 / RM280
Superior Deluxe – RM200 / RM320
Grand Deluxe – RM250 / RM400
Junior Suite – RM300 / RM480
Executive Suite – RM350 / RM560
Warisan Suite – RM600 / RM960

Business travellers, on the other hand, would be delighted to know that Hotel Taiping Perdana offers business facilities from seminar to meeting and conference rooms of various sizes that could accommodate any business discussion within the hotel.
