Symphony Suites Hotel 1st Anniversary Celebration
It was party time last evening at Symphony Suites as the hotel celebrated its first anniversary. It was just like yesterday that I attended its official launch exactly a year ago.
According to Chief Executive Officer Mr. Lee Chee Ming, the past year had not been short on challenges. In his welcome speech, he said, “To be honest, we haven’t quite achieved the targets that we had earlier set in terms of revenue, room occupancy rate and profitability.”
However, at the first anniversary celebration, it was not time to think about work. Instead, it was an opportunity for the staff to let their hair down, and only continue striving to be one of the better hotels in Ipoh on the following day.
The dinner, with a masquerade theme, was to thank staff members of all levels, as well as partners, suppliers and valued guests.
Expertly emceed by KT Pillai, the highlight of the evening, I would say, was a stage performance by award-winning, world-renowned illusionist Mahdi Moudini who kept the guests fascinated for half an hour.
Other programmes lined up were live band performance by The Trio Express, Best Mask Catwalk for Male & Female and quizzes.
Plenty of prizes from F&B vouchers to complimentary hotel stays were given away but the icing on the cake was the Grand Prize of a pair of return flight tickets from Ipoh to Medan sponsored by YOU Wings. Suffice to say that it was not won by me!
Anyway, congratulations to Symphony Suites Hotel! May we celebrate many more anniversaries together.
