Sup Tulang 7 Keturunan A Crowd Favourite at Selera Warisan Bonda Ramadan Buffet @ MH Hotel Ipoh
Five mouthwatering menus are currently provided on a daily rotational basis for this year’s Iftar buka puasa with the theme Selera Warisan Bonda at MH Hotel Ipoh. A mix of local cuisines encompassing Malay, Chinese, and Indian favourite dishes, berbuka puasa at the hotel is an event that suits the palate of every diner, as Selera Warisan Bonda means “the legacy of traditional flavours from Mother.”
There are more than 70 items on each menu, starting with appetisers including four types of kerabu, soups, 12 main courses, live-action stalls (about six or seven of them), plus Sup Tulang 7 Keturunan, beverages, and a wide range of desserts. Needless to say, an appetising feast awaits all who break fast at MH Hotel Ipoh while they spend quality time bonding with their loved ones during this special occasion of Ramadan berbuka puasa.
Similar to most Ramadan buffets in town, the appetisers and main courses change every day before the menu is repeated on the sixth day, and so on. These MH Hotel Ipoh menus are specially curated by Executive Chef Mohd. Khamizan Bin Mahamad Jafar (or simply Chef Mizan), and his equally experienced culinary team. Among the signature items are Asam Pedas Ikan Pari, Gulai Kambing Kerisik, Kurma Kambing Kentang, Kambing Bakar and more, besides Sup Tulang 7 Keturunan.
According to Chef Mizan, Sup Tulang 7 Keturunan, brewed with “rempah ratus tradisi”, served with cili kicap and daun sup, is his personal creation that has been available at MH Hotel Ipoh for the past six years. While the name of the soup may mean a recipe that has been passed down for seven generations, the real meaning is that this soup’s secret recipe was passed down from all the chefs that Chef Mizan has learned from since his days as a junior chef, incorporating all the tips he had picked up along the way into one awesome soup. It is, undoubtedly, a favourite among regular diners at this hotel.
For those who have a sweet tooth, not to worry as there are at least six different kuih-muih choices served, alongside desserts such as bread butter pudding, bubur, DIY ais kacang, and free-flow ice-cream potong.
