For Ramadan 2026, Symphony Suites Hotel presents a buffet centred around traditional Malaysian cooking. The concept, Citarasa Warisan: Rasa Asli Turun-Temurun, is based on recipes commonly associated with home kitchens – familiar flavours, balanced seasoning, and dishes meant to be shared over the course of an Iftar evening rather than sampled in haste.



To be hosted at Symphony Café, the buffet will run from 20th February until 19th March 2026, daily from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.



Traditional Kampung Cooking
The Symphony Suites Hotel culinary team places Malay heritage cuisine at the core of the menu, so that most selections reflect kampung-style cooking, from braised dishes, grilled meats, rice-based plates and soups designed to suit the breaking of fast.



Western and Thai dishes appear only as supporting options, providing variety without shifting the overall identity of the buffet.
The hotel has prepared three separate menus to be rotated during Ramadan. Each rotation consists at least 80 yummilicious items.




Therefore, instead of encountering identical trays each visit, guests will notice changes in side dishes, gravies, rice preparations, and accompaniments while core highlights remain available. The objective is continuity with variation, not a complete overhaul every night.




Key Dishes and Preparation Style

Nasi Kerabu
Served with herbs, condiments and sambal, the dish balances freshness and savoury elements. It works well early in the meal because it is lighter than coconut-based rice dishes and does not overwhelm the palate immediately after breaking fast.

Sup Tulang Merah
A slow-cooked bone soup with thick, spiced gravy. The consistency is heavier than that of clear soups and functions almost as a main dish rather than a starter. It pairs naturally with plain rice or bread.

Harimau Menangis (Thai-style Grilled Beef)
Grilled beef slices are served with a dipping sauce prepared specifically for the dish. The smokiness from the grill and the tangy sauce awaken the palate and balance the richer flavours on the table.

Whole Grilled Lamb
Prepared every evening and carved on site. The seasoning is kept moderate so diners can add sauces or accompaniments according to preference. It is positioned as a centrepiece item rather than a one-time speciality.




Dining Environment and Facilities
Symphony Café is not designed as a large banquet hall, which helps regulate crowd flow during peak breaking-fast periods. The layout allows diners to move between stations without congestion.
