Ghosts, zombies, vampires, ghouls and all sorts of gu ling jing kwai characters from the third dimensional nether world descended upon Ipoh Parade, for the annual SUB International Beauty School – GATSBY Malaysia Halloween Makeup Competition 2017.

Participated by 31 graduating students of the beauty academy, this was the 12th edition, and it seemed to get better and better. They were very serious about their assignment as this was the final challenge before graduating from their course of study.

The competition was very stiff as they showcased creativity at their scariest best, in either one of the following categories: Skeleton, Bloody or Vampire / Zombie / Ghost.

With spine-chilling music blasting from the speakers to accompany the ghostly catwalk, the event certainly attracted a lot of attention from shoppers, who mostly only dared to observe from the far sidelines.

It was a tough call on the six judges, headed by The Most Successful Female DJ in Asia, Leng Yein, but a decision had to be made to crown the Champion. Who was she (or he)?
