Sponsorship & 2014 Chinese New Year Programme @ Thrangu Dharma Retreat Centre
The reconstruction of the Thrangu Dharma Retreat Centre, previously a cave temple, in Tambun, Ipoh, has completed.
Therefore, the temple committee is now seeking sponsorship for a 10feet Maitreya Buddha (Future Buddha) that is estimated to cost RM100,000 and Green Tara costing RM40,000.
Also, in conjunction with Chinese New Year, the temple committee has lined up a series of programmes, which will be held here. Allow me to share their schedule.

Event: 3-Day Mahakala Puja
Time: 4pm – 5pm
Date: 31st Jan, 2014 (1st day of Chinese New Year)
9am – Green Tara Puja & Lighting of Green Tara Lamp for the whole year
10.30am – Release Lives
11am – Sung Puja
Date: 2nd Feb, 2014 (3rd day of Chinese New Year)
9.30am Longtak Hanging
Date: 14th Feb, 2014 (Chap Goh Meh)
9am – Chenrezig Puja
10am – depart for Jelapang Old Folks’ Home & Silibin (home for the disabled)
