Rainbow Skywalk Sunset View at The TOP KOMTAR
and taking the Sky Bridge Challenge at 239m above ground on Level 65 of KOMTAR, Penang.
The last time I visited Penang, I had wanted to explore The TOP at KOMTAR. It was a new attraction then and I wanted to be one of the first visitors. Unfortunately, it was Valentine’s Day, and a dude booked the entire place for his wedding proposal. Alamakkkk
That missed opportunity turned out to drag on for seven long years, before I had another chance to go to Penang again.
Luckily, Only World Group (OWG) is still holding strong with their indoor theme park in the sky to offer a breathtaking experience, even though I was seven years late.
Did you know that The TOP sits on top of KOMTAR (Kompleks Tun Abdul Razak), the iconic Penang building? The original building had 65 floors. OWG extended three more floors above that, to offer the amazing Rainbow Skywalk at Level 68.

Rainbow Skywalk is the world’s first tower-curved skywalk, at 249m high on the rooftop of KOMTAR. Get a stunning bird’s eye view of Penang, as you walk on the glass flooring that allows you to look right down to the street! Ada berani??
Visitors to Rainbow Skywalk would already have had a preview of what’s in store for them at Level 68, as they must pass through the Observatory Deck on Level 65. Enjoy the picture-perfect vistas of Penang here. If you have the guts, take on the challenge of walking the Sky Bridge, the highest outdoor tower walk, with a distance of 90m at 239m above ground, circling half of KOMTAR on the outside.

Of course, there are other attractions within this three-storey highest iconic edutainment tower, besides the Observatory Deck (Level 65) and Rainbow Skywalk (Level 68). It also houses the largest indoor theme park in Penang, restaurants, and MICE facilities, making it a one-stop destination for both leisure and business travellers. All in all, there are 15 different attractions within this space.
The Level 65 Sky Bridge is a new addition, and so is the Topoggan, the longest indoor slide, with a length of 63 metres. Penang’s first indoor Meta Kart at Level 3 and Jungle Gym at Level 4 are also new attractions.
Don’t forget the much-loved interactive Jurassic Research Centre on Level 5 that brings over 200 dinosaurs back to life, where visitors can take on an educational journey. TOP Boutique Aquarium is another popular attraction, with its myriad of marine life, flora and fauna.
