Press Conference: Iconic Model Search 2012
If you have always dreamt of being a model of international standard, but have no idea how to go about it, this is a good opportunity for you.
Iconic Model Management, a subsidiary of World Trend Corporation Sdn. Bhd., is conducting a search in Perak for THE new face. Iconic had previously successfully organised a similar model search in Penang and is now bringing girls a second chance.
The criteria to participate in this Iconic Model Search, which is open to all Malaysians, are:
1. No experience in model search competitions
2. Is an existing model
3. 160cm minimum height
4. age from 16 to 28 years old – those below 18 years old are required to obtain parental consent
Prizes, worth a total of RM50,000, up for grabs include the following:
1st prize: RM3,000
2nd prize: RM2,000
3rd prize: RM1,000
An interesting prize sponsored to the first place winner is a 2-month English language course in Sydney, Australia, worth RM25,000, by eEagle Group.
In addition to subsidiary titles, there will be a Facebook popularity contest where the model with the highest number of “Likes” will receive RM500, followed by RM300 for second place and RM200 for third.
Amber Chia Academy (Penang), a supporting partner of Iconic Model Management, would be providing full training to all contestants, from the initial stage to the finals. All aspiring models would be put through stringent courses which include public speaking, modelling, makeover, fashion sense, and everything that would build up a girl’s self-confidence.
Most importantly, Amber Chia Academy (Penang) has the right connections to push the winners to the proper channels to further their careers beyond modelling.

3rd Sept – Audition – UTAR Kampar
13th Sept – 1st Heat – S.O.S. Live Club
16th Sept – Boot Camp / Preview – Ipoh Parade
20th Sept – Semi-finals – S.O.S. Live Club
27th Sept – Finals – S.O.S. Live Club
Also at the press conference where this Iconic Model Search 2012 was announced were Jane See – winner of Asian Model Search 2011, Jvene Lim (Zuo Zuo) – 1st runner up Miss Auto City 2012; and Venice Chong – Miss Astro Chinese International Finalist 2012, who has been appointed Head of Modelling instructor at Amber Chia Academy (Penang).
During an exclusive interview, I asked these three gorgeous ladies how an aspiring model should prepare herself to participate in this Iconic Model Search.
According to Venice, they should watch videos on model search competitions and beauty pageants, Jane said to build up confidence while Jvene advised to just pluck up your courage and GO!
Height, looks and body shape are from our genes but we could enhance our beauty by following a strict diet, exercise regularly, drink more water and go to bed early.
Jane added that a model is actually a salesperson where she promotes a product through body language and expression. On top of physical beauty, one would need good attitude, discipline and positive thinking.
