Press Conference: Fiesta D’Anson
For the first time in Teluk Intan, various non-governmental organisations are coming together to bring us a multi-racial family-centric fiesta on one stage for eleven consecutive days.
This fiesta themed “Harmoni budaya, negara sejahtera”, which will go by the name Fiesta D’Anson, is spearheaded by Gerakan Belia 4B Parliamen Teluk Intan, with the collaboration of Pejabat Ahli Parlimen Teluk Intan.
Event highlights include Anson Night Fun Ride, Martial Arts Night, Cultural Night, Theatre, Lion Dance Competition, Mr. Body Beautiful that has already attracted 100 confirmed participants. Allocated a full day of events will be Pink Champion Association Perak, to create awareness on breast cancer.
There are also segments of “Show Your Talent” throughout the eleven days, whereby anyone can get up on stage to showcase whatever talent that he or she may possess. The most-anticipated event, I guess, would be the full concert by Datuk Ramli Sarip on Dec 7th.
The organisers anticipate a crowd of 5,000 fans. Personally, I am looking forward to a second round of Monologue Jual Ubat by Khalid Salleh which I thoroughly enjoyed earlier this year.
It is certainly going to be a rare treat. Officiating the fiesta will be Perak exco for Youth, Sports, Communication and Multimedia, Dato’ Shahrul Zaman Yahya., while closing it will be Teluk Intan Member of Parliament Dato’ Mah Siew Keong.
This fiesta is definitely going to rock the town, in conjunction with the school holidays. If you have no vacation plans yet, it is a good idea to consider taking a trip to Teluk Intan.
Sponsors, entrepreneurs and vendors who would like to take up retail booths at the fiesta or participate in any way may contact the Chief Executive of the programme, Cikgu Yusrizal at 019-5433102.
