Food fair? Fun fair? How about Family Fun Fiesta? Kiwanis Club of Meru Valley Ipoh is organising just that, this coming 8th July (Sunday) and everyone is encouraged to go over to SJK (C) Yuk Choy, Ipoh, to have a good family fun time. How long have we not done that, eh? Now’s the chance to do so, no excuses!

Besides food and beverage sampling, there are plenty of games to play and I mean PLENTY. At the press conference, we were able to try our hand at some of them. Games featured here are just a fraction of what would be available on that day. Trust me when I say these traditional games are quite addictive too! Ah, brings back pleasant childhood memories!

This Family Fun Fiesta is something like a combination of AstroLife Chinese New Year Carnival and Jom Heboh. While the main objective is to raise funds for the club’s charitable activities, it also creates an opportunity for families to bond, taking us away from our workstations. I know some of you sometimes work on Sundays too! Keep the morning of 8th July free, and go out for some fun. Don’t forget to bring your family and friends!

Hole in One

Fun times are to be shared, so Kiwanis Club of Meru Valley would sponsor 200 orphans from seven orphanages in and around Ipoh to participate in the fiesta. Registration fee is only RM5 per person but those who pay RM10 each get access to the Games Arena.

There are five different games in the Arena. Accumulate scores and redeem attractive prizes accordingly. I understand the top prize is a bicycle and everyone who scores the top prize will walk away with one! Fantastic!
