Perak Amanjaya Job & Career Fair 2011

Visited the Perak Amanjaya Job & Career Fair 2011 at Dataran MBI, Ipoh, early this morning and it was already teeming with job-seekers. There was a long queue at the registration counter. Visitors had to fill out a form with their personal particulars before they were given a “Participant” pass. The registration form included spaces for race and religion. I wonder why.

It is said that there are some 60 employers from the public and private sectors at this fair, offering over five thousand vacancies for all fields. I spotted a long row of booths taken up by insurance companies. No doubt plenty of jobs available but not sure if one could find the job that one desires here and now. That takes time.

The Perak Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) Dato’ Seri Dr. Zambry Abdul Kadir, will officiate the event later this afternoon.
