Azam Kerja 1Malaysia @ Ipoh

I dropped by the Federal Building this afternoon for Azam Kerja 1Malaysia, a job fair. I was wondering if there would be a job for me. Job searching in Ipoh is tough. Azam Kerja 1Malaysia in Ipoh is rather small and I was surprised by the way this career fair was conducted.

First, job seekers have to register themselves at the counter. They then have to look for available vacancies, which are all listed down and pasted on boards in the lounge After that, they have to attend a talk on career, fill up and submit a job application and then attend an interview.

Unfortunately, Azam Kerja 1Malaysia is only held today from 9am to 5pm. The crowd was sparse and the emcee kept reminding us to call our friends over but then high paying jobs in Ipoh are scarce, from what I saw this afternoon. Hopefully, there will be a larger career fair in Ipoh soon.
