Pay-To-Play @ MAPS from 1st March

Revamping its business model, Movie Animation Park Studios (MAPS) in Ipoh will be doing away with its entrance fee come 1st March, 2019. Instead, all rides and attractions will be charged on coupon basis, with each coupon priced at RM3.

These coupons are sold at the entrance, as well as from booths at selected designated spots throughout the park. Charges for rides and attractions are as low as 1 coupon, up to 5 coupons, translating to RM3 – RM15 in monetary value.

Visitors who wish to enjoy unlimited rides and entry to attractions may purchase MAPS Passport at RM80, or MAPS Infinite Pass at RM145. MAPS Passport entitles holder to enjoy all rides and attractions for one time with 30 days validity, while MAPS Infinite Pass grants the holder unlimited access to all rides and attractions for one day.

Overall, this new fare structure is more budget-friendly, especially for families with members in vast age groups. The free entry means everyone in the family can enjoy the theme park according to suitability.

Do take note that besides the aforementioned good news, MAPS has also revamped its operating hours, effective 1st March:

i) 4pm until 12 midnight on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
ii) 10am until midnight on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
iii) Closed on Wednesdays.
