Orchid Exhibition & Promotion

This orchid exhibition and promotion, held in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri and Malaysia Day 2011, was launched on 12th Sept, 2011 by Y.B. Dato’ Johari Baharum, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry, Malaysia.

Today, I would like to share with you plenty of photos of the orchids on display or for sale that I took this morning when I swung by the venue of this event at Tesco Extra in Bercham. Actually, the event occupies a corner of the spacious car park at the hypermarket.

Besides orchids, there are also plenty of other flowers, fruit trees and plants for sale, including the I-have-no-idea-why-extremely-expensive Bonsai trees. Exhibitors have come from various states in Malaysia, besides Perak.
