Chang Jiang White Coffee Unveils New F&B Outlets and Coffee Gallery at Kin Loong Valley
The scenic Kin Loong Valley was abuzz on 7th December 2024 as Ipoh City Mayor Y.Bhg. Dato’ Rumaizi bin Baharin@Md Daud officially launched CJ 5, CJ 6, and the Chang Jiang White Coffee Gallery.
This landmark event celebrates the expansion of the Chang Jiang White Coffee brand and its contribution to Ipoh’s vibrant tourism scene.
A Milestone for Chang Jiang White Coffee
Led by managing director Kong Kin Loong and executive director Mrs Sam Foong, Chang Jiang White Coffee has become a staple in Ipoh’s culinary landscape. With the addition of CJ 5 and CJ 6, the brand now operates six F&B outlets plus one coffee gallery. The F&B outlets are Halal-certified, with CJ 7 currently in the process of obtaining certification.
The new CJ 5 and CJ 6 outlets at Kin Loong Valley offer an array of Asian delights, from Malay to Chinese and Indian favourites, complemented by their renowned Chang Jiang white coffee.
Designed to appeal to both local and international visitors, these outlets enhance Ipoh’s reputation as a food haven.

A highlight of the launch was the Chang Jiang White Coffee Gallery. This premises is divided into two sections: one delves into the history of the brand, while the other showcases the meticulous brewing process that creates the company’s signature white coffee.
The gallery is an engaging venue for coffee enthusiasts eager to learn about the craft behind this iconic brew.
Praise for Transforming Kin Loong Valley
During the launch, the Mayor applauded Chang Jiang White Coffee for its commitment to enhance the Tasik Cermin area. Over the past four years, the company has played a pivotal role in transforming this site into a premier tourist destination, blending natural beauty with rich cultural and culinary experiences.
The Mayor outlined his vision to introduce a new tourism attraction in Ipoh every month, supporting the city’s preparations for Visit Malaysia Year 2026.
He also shared exciting news about Ipoh City Council receiving the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honour Award for advancing sustainable development through ecotourism, health initiatives, and waste management.
Aiming for a Better Human Development Index
In his speech, the Mayor highlighted the importance of improving Ipoh’s position in the UNDP Human Development Index (HDI). The HDI prioritises human capabilities—such as education, healthcare, and quality of life, beyond economic growth.
Achieving a high HDI score, a hallmark of developed nations, would position Ipoh as a leading city for sustainable and inclusive development.

With the unveiling of CJ 5, CJ 6, and the Chang Jiang White Coffee Gallery, Kin Loong Valley is set to become a magnet for tourists. Visitors can enjoy authentic Asian flavours, learn about the history and craft of Chang Jiang white coffee, and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of the area.
