MR D.I.Y. Celebrates Merdeka with a 3-day Fun Bazaar

Malaysia’s largest do-it-yourself retailer, MR D.I.Y. Group [M] Berhad, is making this Merdeka Day extra special with its first-ever Merdeka Bazaar, called ‘Bersama Satu Bazaar’. The event runs from 30th August (Friday) to 1st September 2024 (Sunday), at PIAZZA, Pavilion Bukit Jalil, from 10am to 10pm daily.

Over 100 Booths with Local Treats and Crafts
The Bazaar has over 100 booths where visitors can enjoy popular local food, and explore products from MR D.I.Y., MR. TOY, EMTOP, plus MR. DOLLAR. Meanwhile, discover handmade crafts, stationery, cosmetics, and more from Malaysian entrepreneurs. There are also fun games, creative workshops, including live performances for everyone to enjoy.

Unity Gallery: Showcasing Young Malaysian Artists
A special part of the Bazaar is the Unity Gallery, an art exhibition featuring the works of talented young Malaysian artists. It’s a great way to see the creativity of our nation.

Live Performances by Top Malaysian Stars
On 31 August 2024, at 8:30 pm, the Bazaar will feature live performances by famous Malaysian artistes Alif Satar & The Locos, Jaclyn Victor, and Priscilla Abby. They will perform the patriotic anthem ‘Bersama Satu Suara’ live for the first time, adding to the excitement.

Supporting Local Talent and Unity
Alex Goh, Head of Marketing at MR D.I.Y. Group, said, “The ‘Bersama Satu Bazaar’ is a fun way to celebrate our pride and unity as Malaysians. We wanted to create an event that everyone would enjoy and remember. It’s also a chance for local vendors, artistes, besides performers to show off their talents while giving visitors a unique shopping experience.”
Goh also mentioned that the special performances and the Unity Gallery make the event even more meaningful, as they highlight the unity and creativity of Malaysians. “We’re proud of our Malaysian identity, and this event is a way to share it with everyone. Bring your family and friends; we can’t wait to celebrate Malaysia’s 67th birthday together.”

Special Rewards for Early Visitors
The first 1,000 visitors each day who complete the Bazaar Passport challenge will get a free tote bag and a chance to win prizes worth up to RM12,000 in a lucky draw.
