Mother’s Day Celebration
Mother’s Day, which is celebrated on the second Sunday of May annually, falls on the 12th of the month this year. If you are planning to celebrate this auspicious day with your mother and also father on this special day, let me give you a preview of the menu to expect at Kinta Riverfont Hotel’s Great Miner Chinese Cuisine Restaurant and Palong Coffee House.
Great Miner Chinese Cuisine Restaurant
First up, the speciality from Great Miner Chinese Cuisine Restaurant for the month of May is the ‘Buddha Jump Over The Wall’ dish. Ingredients in this soup include whole abalone, shark’s fin, dry scallop, sea cucumber, fish lip, black chicken and mushroom, among others. This pork-free dish, for ten pax, is priced at RM600++.
On the other hand, families who opt for the meal-set need only pay RM988++ (table for ten), wherein addition to the ‘Buddha Jump Over The Wall’ dish, will also be served Great Miner Four Seasons Combination, Beijing Duck, Steamed Prawns with Special Garlic Sauce, Stir-fried Vegetables with Scallop & Deep Fried Squid, Braised Sang Mee with Duck Meat, Chinese Pastry and Dessert.
Other menus available for the months of May and June in celebration of Parents’ Day are priced at RM588++, RM688++, RM788++ and RM1388++ (for ten pax).
Also available during these two months is the Big Bowl Feast, or Poon Choi in Cantonese. At RM248++ for 10 pax, one can find more than fifteen different items in the dish.
