MBO Cinemas, one of the country’s more established cinema chains, has arrived in Ipoh, making its mark at AEON Midtown Falim! This latest 8-hall cinema outlet, with a capacity of 1169 seats, is its third in Perak, following one outlet in Teluk Intan and another in Taiping.

With an investment of RM14 million, this Ipoh outlet is the chain’s 27th cinema in Malaysia. It features two unique viewing concepts, KECIL and Big Screen, the first of its kind in the northern region.

Indeed, these two concepts of MBO Cinemas change the way we watch movies at a cinema, and at friendly ticket price points as well.

KECIL Hall
Where children can run free, both literally and figuratively, KECIL is a cinema hall especially built with children, and their parents, in mind.

Equipped with a play area, bored kids can play to their heart’s content, while their parents can continue watching the movie, or join their kids at the area. This child-friendly hall features softer audio and brighter lights, rather than those of a conventional hall.

As for the seats, in bright blue, orange and red colours, there are different types to cater to all in the family. Sofa beds, beanie and VIP seats ensure that everyone in the family gets to enjoy a movie, usually animation or family-themed, comfortably.

Big Screen
If you love watching your movie on as large a screen as possible, this would be heavenly. Size does matter to MBO Cinemas and with this outlet in AEON Midtown Falim, the largest cinema screen, measuring 30ft X 50ft, is introduced.

Besides its Premium large Format screen, the hall is equipped with state-of-the-art technology of flagship laser RGB projector, the first of its kind in Malaysia by MARCO, as well as Dolby Atmos sound system.

MBO Cinemas runs a membership programme called StarClub, where members are known as AllStars. It is free to join.

MBO Falim, Ipoh opened its doors on 23rd Dec, 2017. To celebrate its opening, there were free movie screenings for two weeks.
