Kota Kinabalu Handicraft Centre
Our final destination in Sabah before leaving for the airport to fly home was the Kota Kinabalu Handicraft Centre. It is also known locally as Pasar Filipina (Filipino Market).
I didn’t know what souvenirs to buy but simply followed suggestions from friends. Popular Sabah souvenirs include t-shirts, Sabah batik, pearl jewellery, beaded fashion accessories and seafood. The market that sells an abundance of fresh lobsters, prawns, fishes, etc., is just next to this handicraft centre.
When you visit Kota Kinabalu, this is the place to pick up some souvenirs. Remember, you need to bargain, and bargain hard!
Check out these photos of the items that caught my eye during my walkabout at the craft centre.
