Ipoh Dog Licence New Policy

The application for dog licences begins in February 2018, at Counter 5 of the old MBI building near Ipoh Town Padang (address included below).

The following documents are required in the application of dog licences.

1) applicant’s original MyKad (or photocopy of the dog owner if applying on behalf)
2) A completed form if applying for more than two licences in the case of factory or farm

*applicant has to be at least 18 years of age.

puppies as young as three months old are required to be licensed
puppies as young as three months old are required to be licensed

Number of dogs allowed:

One dog
– Terrace house (intermediate unit)

maximum of two dogs
– Terrace house (corner unit)
– Semi-detached house
– Bungalow
– farm (not more than 10,000 square feet)

maximum of four dogs
– factory (more than 10,000 square feet)

Note:
*Dogs that are above 3 months old are required to be licensed under Undang-Undang Kecil Pelesenan Anjing (MBI) 1987 (Ipoh City Council by-law).
*Dog licence fee is RM30 per dog every three years (2018 – 2020)

Action will be taken against owners of unlicensed dogs with effect from 1st March, 2018.

  2. Ah i like this dog license policy seems strict but good. This year of the dog, it isn’t advisable to get a dog just because its the year of the dog.
    I will check if we have this here in the Philippines.

  3. In Malaysia, generally, pets are not allowed in coffee shops, unless you go to eateries that are specifically for pets and their owners.
