MBI Prihatin is a programme initiated by the Ipoh City Council following the Movement Control Order (MCO) of COVID-19. So far, more than RM3 million has been disbursed to ease the burden of Ipohites, traders, staff, and former staff of MBI who have been affected by the pandemic and its movement control order. The constructive programme is ongoing to this day although our country has entered the endemic phase.
MBI Prihatin is funded by the City Council as well as its strategic partners that include Pasar Raya Econsave, Kinta Properties, Kuala Lumpur Kepong (KLK), Chang Jiang and other generous sponsors. It is the Mayor’s aspiration to continue with MBI Prihatin to ensure that no one is left behind as Ipoh moves towards a prosperous city status.
