Ipoh City Council Workers’ Cooperative Hari Raya Charity Luncheon
Some 150 “junior VIPs” were treated to a scrumptious buffet lunch at Ipoh Syeun Hotel by the Ipoh City Council Workers’ Cooperative (Koperasi Pekerja-pekerja Majlis Bandaraya Ipoh Berhad).
This charity luncheon was part of the organisation’s annual Hari Raya Aidil Fitri initiative to include the less privileged in the auspicious celebration.
The orphans and children from single parent families were from four children’s homes, namely, Rumah Anak Yatim Darussalam, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Bait Al-Amin, Precious Gift Home and Praise Home.
The function was graced by Ipoh City Mayor Datuk Zamri Man, who is also the President of the Co-op. He was accompanied by Council Secretary Mohd Zakuan Zakaria and other council staff.
The Cooperative Fund is utilised for two different purposes. One part of it is for members of the co-op while the other part is for the betterment of the community, such as the hosting of this event.
This annual Hari Raya charity function is only one of the many that the co-op organises for the community throughout the year.

The Hari Raya Charity is really meaningful. everyone enjoy the nice food that serve on the event. The kids looks so happy in the event.
