Ipoh Car-Free Day Hari Raya Edition (July 2016)
After a break for Ramadan, the eighth Ipoh Car-Free Day on Sunday, 24 July, was a Hari Raya edition in conjunction with Aidilfitri celebrations.
Even so, the presence of a pair of lions lent the event a livelier air and children took the opportunity to have a photograph with them.
This Ipoh Car-Free Day attracted the biggest participation from the public to date – some even expressed that they wished this car-free day was a weekly event rather than monthly.
Some of the agencies and corporations that supported this Ipoh Car-Free Day included the Perak State Government, RELA, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Malaysian Interaction Cultural Association (MICA) and Perak Turf Club.
