Appreciation for Chinese opera, of any dialect, comes from comprehension. It is an utmost complex cultural art form from China. Therefore, to understand Chinese opera, one has to have knowledge in Chinese history.

For me, this Cantonese opera provided an opportunity to test my beginner-level shooting skills. I thank Mr. Looi Kim Hoo, Vice President of Ipoh Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association for his invitation and Mr. Yee Chong Wah, secretary of Kelab Sosial & Kebudayaan Opera Cina Seen Ngai Ipoh, for his time in explaining the three storylines to me. 谢谢!
