Because of the Emperor’s weak character, he was easily conquered. His brother was made a hostage as part of the bargain of his defeat. The Emperor missed his brother and blamed himself for the suffering he caused. Soon after, the Empress passed away. This made the Emperor even sadder.

During that time, the younger sister of the Empress consoled the Emperor. As time passed by, they fell in love and got married. With new personal development, the Emperor did not govern his country well. An enemy used dirty tactics and got his best general killed. With a weakened army, a neighbouring country easily conquered the Emperor.

The Emperor wanted to commit suicide but changed his mind, thinking of his subjects and what would happen to them should he die. So, he surrendered himself and his wife to the enemy.
