International IPOH Fashion Week (IIFW) Season 5.0 to Bring Glamour and Excitement to Perak

The much-anticipated International IPOH Fashion Week (IIFW) Season 5.0 is scheduled from 1st until 3rd December, 2023. Three days, three venues in Ipoh and Lumut, Perak. With the theme “Fashion Tourism With a Heart”, IIFW’s fashion tourism scope encompasses tourism, education, entrepreneurship, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and Fun, with a capital F.

IIFW was inaugurated in 2017 by power couple Mr Louis Sebastian and Ms Adeline Khan, with the objective of promoting Perak to the world and in turn welcoming the world to Promising Perak, through fashion. This event, which is listed in the annual Perak Calendar of Events, is endorsed and supported by the Perak State Government, Tourism Perak, Ipoh City Council, and related State agencies. It was accorded the Fashion Week of the Year Award 2019/2020 under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC).

In a bid to create a fashion hub and world-class fashion reference centre right here in Perak, IIFW has benefitted the Faculty of Art & Design UITM Seri Iskandar plus Kolej Komuniti Batu Gajah over the years of collaboration, which has boosted student intake for both the institutions by over 200%.

IIFW Season 5.0 will showcase collections of fashion designers not only from Malaysia, but also Singapore, Indonesia, Nepal, India, and the Philippines. A pool of 45 experienced local and international male and female models will be walking the runway for these designers.

Besides the fashion showcase, there will also be celebrity performances to entertain guests.

Secure your tables now for IIFW Season 5.0 red carpet black-tie royal charity gala dinner at the Jubilee Ballroom of the Royal Perak Golf Club on 1st December 2023 at 7pm. It will be graced by HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, alongside members of the Perak Royal Family, foreign ambassadors, and celebrities. There are two exclusive sponsorship packages: Orchid at RM50000 (8 seats) and Bunga Raya at RM30000 (10 seats). Individual tables (10 seats) are also available at RM8000, RM5000 and RM3000 respectively.

IIFW Season 5.0 beneficiaries are Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun Ipoh, Perak District Specialist Hospitals, and Sehati Perak non-governmental organisation.

On 2nd December 2023, fashion fans are welcome to witness the fashion street runway at the iconic Ipoh Old Town from 9.30am until 12 noon.

IIFW Season 5.0 wraps up on 3rd December 2023 with a unique fashion showcase at the Lumut Waterfront Maritime from 7pm until 10pm. Similar to the Ipoh Old Town fashion street runway, this event is also open to the public.
