Ikan Bakar Parameswara, Melaka
“Ikan bakar” (grilled fish) is a compulsory dish to try while in Malacca. And the restaurant to patronise? It’s simply called “Ikan Bakar Parameswara”, located at a food court in Pengkalan Pernu, Umbai, Melaka.
This riverside restaurant is open for dinner daily except on Mondays. The sunset view here is to be appreciated, while one enjoys a sumptuous seafood dinner alongside the grilled fish.
It was a little strange to me that there were two types of rice served: plain white rice and “nasi lemak”. In fact, nasi lemak is really a good choice to go with the dishes served.
Most of what we had were spicy but not so spicy until they couldn’t be enjoyed by all. Ikan Bakar Parameswara in Umbai, Malacca, definitely comes highly recommended by yours truly.
