Popular Ipoh-born TVB actress, Chu Mimi 朱咪咪, visited her Alma Mater, SMJK Yuk Choy, Ipoh, yesterday morning, and I was lucky enough to attend a motivational talk by her alongside some of the students of the school. I also had a short chat with her, and of course, managed to get a message from her to my readers!
Chu Mimi 朱咪咪 was here to announce her concert at Plenary Hall (Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre) on 18th December, 2011 at 8pm, whereby all proceeds from ticket sales will go towards the building fund of SMJK Yuk Choy, Ipoh. The school is in the midst of constructing a 5-storey multi-purpose building comprising a 3-storey state-of-the-art auditorium, science laboratories, computer lab, classrooms and a canteen.
The concert, 2011 SMJK Yuk Choy New School Building Fund Charity Concert, is organised by the Board of Governors SMJK Yuk Choy Ipoh, jointly with Perak Chinese Assembly Hall, Perak Yuk Choy Old Boys’ Association, Perak Yuk Choy Old Boys’ Association (FT, Selangor, N.S., Pahang), Yuk Choy & Perak Girls’ High School Alumni Singapore and PIBG SMJK Yuk Choy Ipoh.
