Festivities, Events & Dining Options to Kick Start an Auspicious Year @ Impiana Hotel Ipoh
In the blink of an eye, it is time to usher in a new lunar year: the Year of the Boar. It’s going to be the start of a long season of festive celebration, and of course, it begins with and revolves around FOOD!
If you are in Ipoh during this time of the year, you’d be delighted to know that there are plenty of dining options available to you from now until Chap Goh Mei (15th night of the Lunar New Year).
At Impiana Hotel Ipoh, the celebration has begun, wrapping up this Year of the Dog with 8-course Appreciation Set Menus, available from now until 18th February, with prices of RM588 nett and RM738 nett per table. Dine in comfort at the hotel’s Private Rooms and enjoy free corkage on alcoholic beverages for reservation of 6 tables and above.
In the spirit of spreading festive blessings to guests, every family or dining group will receive a specially prepared Prosperity Mandarin Orange Cake during three nights of “Good Fortune” Buffet Dinner, on 4th to 6th Feb, from 6.30pm until 10pm. Price is RM88 nett per adult and RM58 nett per child (5 – 12 years) & senior citizen (60 years above).
At the buffet dinner, a wide selection of Asian delights and Chinese New Year specialities will be served, with highlights of Live Action Stalls serving “Lok Lok” (among others), Peking Duck and Rack of Lamb. The food photos shared in this post are just a selection of items from the menu.
Meanwhile, on 5th and 6th Feb (12.30pm – 3.30pm), the Coffee House will serve the “Double Happiness” Buffet Hi-tea, where guests stand a chance to win dining vouchers worth up to RM100 in an angpow lucky draw. Price is RMRM58 nett per adult and RM38 nett per child (5 – 12 years) & senior citizen (60 years above).
What’s a Chinese New Year meal without the “yee sang”? At your disposal is a DIY “Lo Hei” (prosperity toss) counter with selections of refreshing ingredients filled with healthy flavours and colours that we must have to usher in the Lunar New Year, specially prepared by the culinary team of Impiana Hotel Ipoh. Let’s toss the “yee sang” as high as possible for a year filled with abundance and good fortune.
By the way, feel free to join the management and staff of Impiana Hotel Ipoh in welcoming the Year of the Boar during the hotel’s Open House on the first day of Chinese New Year (5th Feb) at 9.18am. There will be a lion dance performance to kick start the season and bless the premises for a fresh year of good business.
Additionally, the God of Prosperity will be making a special appearance, so take this opportunity to receive his blessings. There will be a Dragon Prosperity Yee Sang Toss at The Lobby, as part of the celebration. Also, don’t forget to pay a visit to the Chinese calligraphy booth. Perhaps you can take home some good wishes. Gong Xi Fa Cai!
