Ipoh Parade’s Golden Prosperity Campaign kicked off with a bang, concurrently with its sister malls of Klang Parade, 1 Mont Kiara and CITTA Mall.
The three-week campaign is in search of the top 9 spenders, with an assurance of winning one 100gm gold bar valued at RM19,000 and three more 50gm gold bars worth RM9,600 each.
Three shoppers will be selected each week throughout the duration of the campaign, who will then proceed to compete in a supermarket sweep competition at Ipoh Parade on 10th Feb. The top three shoppers will represent Ipoh Parade at the Final Challenge Gold Rush to be held at Klang Parade on 17th Feb.
These top 12 spenders from all four malls are already winners as they are taking home valuable sponsored prizes such as flight tickets, mobile phones and mattresses, in addition to gold bars.
To commemorate the launch of the campaign, Ipoh Parade rejoiced with a full-day Golden Prosperity Celebration on Sunday, 20th Jan, beginning from a fan meet-and-greet with celebrity siblings Nick and Stella Chung.
This was followed with a stellar performance by the International Kun Seng Keng Lion & Dragon Dance Alliance, who performed for the first time at Ipoh Parade, drawing rapturous applause from a gaping audience.
The setting for the day’s performances was a splendid harbour constructed in the mall’s main court, complete with a Chinese junk, or tongkang, moored against a makeshift pier.
“Chinese New Year is always a grand celebration at Ipoh Parade, but what makes this year particularly special is that absolutely anyone can win gold bars!” remarked Lim Huey Tyng, Assistant Manager for Advertising & Promotions at Ipoh Parade.
