It has been some time since we ate at Ipoh Garden South. The most recent meal was probably at Sam Ma Chicken Rice, and that was at least four months ago. Therefore, when we had an occasion to be in the area, we decided to look for a café.
Ipoh Garden South is popularly known for its many boutiques and coffee shops, but café? We decided on Eldov just because it came into our sight.
Eldov Café is actually a cute and cosy place, much different from its unassuming exterior. This two-year-old eatery has an extensive menu, offering value sets, alongside vegetarian, Asian, Western Chop, soup noodles, spaghetti, salads, snacks, desserts, beverages, and even a modest Indomee menu.
Our lunch was from the à la carte menu of Asian cuisine and Western Chop rice. It’s a little hard for me to understand that rice or no rice, the prices are the same. Still, these prices are on the high side, by my standard. For that price, I opine, better quality rice should be served.
That aside, we did have an enjoyably tasty lunch, and plenty of photos were taken at this Instagrammable café. Is Eldov Café worth a second visit? Certainly, and it would be for tea, to indulge in their range of desserts. Yumz.
